About this Event
Join us for an afternoon of cozy reading, community, & volunteerism as we listen to audiobooks & make tie blankets for Seattle Children's Hospital (SCH).
B ring along an audiobook, headphones, and your lovely self. We'll supply some pre-prepared fleece tie-blankets.
We'll start by getting to know one another a bit, going over the instructions for how to tie the blankets, then settle in with our earbuds and audiobooks to enjoy a cozy afternoon of reading and tying blankets together.
Finished blankets will be donated to SCH through Katie's Comforter's Guild. You can sponatneously attend this event, but RSVP-ing by reserving your free ticket here on Eventbrite will help us prepare the proper amount of meterials.
The venue, Echoes Brewing, is an all ages venue which provides a variety of drink options, has a kids corner, arcade, and live sports, has gender neutral bathrooms, and a fully furnished changing and nursing room available. Outside food is allowed and they sometimes have a food truck available, but we recommend saving most snacking for before or after working on the blankets (or simply step over to an empty table for a bit) just to reduce the possibility of any food getting on the blankets.
