Join BookPeople for one day to rule them all and a party of special magnificence as we celebrate The Lord of the Rings Day!
This event is free and open to the public with festivities all day from 9AM to 9PM, with certain events and pop-ups scheduled throughout the day.
We highly encourage you to come in costume as we transport you to Middle-Earth.
Scavenger Hunt
“Not idly do the leaves of Lórien fall”
All day you can go on a Tolkein-Themed Scavenger Hunt and look for Leaves of Lórien throughout our store. If you complete the hunt, you'll earn yourself a 15% off BookPeople Coupon for use at our store!
The Green Dragon with Bom Bakeshop
2PM to 5PM (while supplies last)
"But the only brew for the brave and true comes from the Green Dragon"
Bom Bakeshop will help turn CoffeePeople into The Green Dragon with exclusive, limited edition Lord of the Rings themed mochi donut flavors and a special photo booth. There will be limited à la carte donuts available day of but if you want to pre-order a full set, sign up for to be notified when pre-orders are live!
Lord of the Rings Trivia

Show off your broadest and your obscurest Lord of the Rings knowledge in our free trivia. Winners will receive special prizes from BookPeople.
Dungeons & Dragons Campaign (Limited Tickets)
6PM to 8PM
"Your time will come. You will face the same evil, and you will defeat it."
We will be hosting 2 Middle-Earth themed one session D&D Campaigns for 5 players each, DM'd by BookPeople staff. since space is highly limited, to participate we will require a $10 deposit ticket (available on this eventbrite listing) and you will receive a $10 BookPeople Gift Card upon checking in. Both campaigns will take place at the same time so please only sign up for one group!
