About the book:
Meet Talbot the Tooth, the delightful star of a story that turns a milestone every child experiences-losing a tooth-into an outstanding adventure. Talbot will make your child's smile grow because every tooth has a story, and every child deserves magic and laughter.
When Talbot discovers he is wiggly, he is not sure what to think. Where will he go? What will he do? Horror of Horrors, will he leave a hole?
Told from the perspective of a baby tooth that's about to fall out, this heartwarming story helps children:
- Develop healthy habits
- Overcome fears with smiles and laughter
- Celebrates a milestone
Talbot the Tooth is a perfect bedtime read for children and a helpful tool for parents navigating their child's first lost tooth. Where learning meets laughter, this book is full of charm, imagination and encouragement. It will leave young readers grinning from ear to ear.
About the author:
I was born halfway through the 1950s—a wonderful time to be a kid. Life felt simple then: days filled with outdoor play, meals shared around the family table, evenings spent reading or watching TV together.
Reading didn’t come easily at first. But thanks to some inspiring authors who lit the way, I grew to love it. Now, I don’t go anywhere without a book in hand. I grew up in Ohio, moved around a bit, and eventually put down roots in Austin, TX. Along the way, my love of reading naturally turned to an interest in writing.
Publishing wasn’t something I rushed into. My words lived on paper, sometimes curled and torn, or saved on a computer labeled poetry or reflections. I finally took the leap in 2018 when I self-published The Christmas Pajamas. A sweet holiday story for my family. I also have several poems published through the Library of Congress. Now, with the release of Talbot the Tooth, Just a little wiggly, I’m thrilled to share my first children’s book with the world.
My writing goals are simple but meaningful: to write stories that encourage curiosity, laughter, and kindness—books that families can weave into cherished bedtime routines for generations to come.
Within the pages of a book, you can be or do anything.
