About the book:
People haven't stepped on the Moon since 1972. Now, multiple countries are planning sojourns there. Why has it taken so long to return? How will they get there? And will they all get along? Who Owns the Moon? explains the science and technology as well as the history, laws and policies--many of them up for grabs--of space travel.
About the author:
Cynthia Levinson's nonfiction books for kids have won the Sibert Medal, the Carter G. Woodson Award, the Crystal Kite Award and Golden Kite Honors, among others. Her newest book, Who Owns the Moon?, is a first in several ways: it's hardly at all about social justice; it's the only book she's co-authored with someone other than her husband; and it's about science as well as history and law.
By purchasing a book from BookPeople, you are not only supporting a local, independent business – you’re showing publishers that they should continue sending authors to BookPeople.
Thank you for supporting Cynthia Levinson and your local independent bookstore!
