Kimberley Lovato is a freelance travel writer who has written about the world and its wonders for 20 years for publications such as the New York Times, National Geographic Traveler, Virtuoso: The Magazine, AARP, Shondaland.com, Hemispheres, Marriott Bonvoy Traveler, Saturday Evening Post, Trave+ Leisure, and CiaoBambino.com.Kimberley’s travel essays have earned many awards and have been anthologized in The Best Women’s Travel Writing and her first book, Walnut Wine & Truffle Groves, a culinary travel book about the Dordogne region of France, received the Gold Lowell Thomas Award in 2012 from the Society of American Travel Writers. She has since written two guidebooks to San Francisco, where she currently lives.
When she's not writing or planning her next trip, Kimberley loves to cook, hike, sail, read, and spend time with her friends and family. She is also thinking about adopting a cat.
