Friends, I'm so excited that my dear friend Michael Backus (based in Albuquerque, New Mexico) will be in Rochester to read from his new book, THE HEART IS MEAT: AN 80s MEMOIR on Tuesday, October 14th 7:00 PM (EDT)—door open at 6:30 PM. Mike and I were in a writing group together for years when we both lived in NYC. This is a memoir of some of his time in NYC, when he worked in the Meatpacking District.
I hope you can join us at Bookeater!! Mike is a terrific writer and reader and I'd love to get a good crowd for his reading. I'll be in conversation with him that night as part of the evening's program.
