About this Event
Spend the day creating two A5 unique books from scratch using specialist bookbinding materials. Learn how to fold, bind and assemble your books and take home a set of instructions so that you can continue the craft at home.
The first book is a hard backed case bound book covered with your choice of traditional book cloth. This clasic book includes decorative end papers, a coloured book mark and gilded metal corners. If time allows you can add stencilling to hand embellish your cover.
The second book is a hardbacked book with a hinged cover, stitched together with beautiful exposed Japanese binding. Personalize your outside cover using a wide selection of washi tapes and choose your inside cover papers to suit your colour sheme.
All materials and tools are provided and demonstrations are given at every step. Wide choice of colours and end papers available so that you can create personal and unique books to your taste.
Please bring lunch and your reading glasses.
