AAUW invites you to a book talk and author signing event on Wednesday November 12 at 4PM in Carmichael Library, on the top (2nd floor) in the Pat Scales Room. In her novel, Becoming Trustworthy White Allies, racial justice author and educator Melanie Morrison outlines how white people can become reliable partners in the work of racial justice. Through essays, stories, and reflections, she explores how they can overcome obstacles to allyship, engage with organizations led by Black, Indigenous, and other people of color, and help move fellow white people toward greater antiracist awareness and action.
