Danbury is home to a vibrant and deeply rooted Dominican American community, and we are honored to highlight that history and culture through this very special author event. Join us for a book signing on Sunday 15/2 at 2:00 PM with Milagros Peguero, author of A Rich Expressive History, an autobiography that tells the story of her life through her own eyes. Born in Haina, Dominican Republic in 1932, Milagros' life journey covers 93 years of life, immigration, faith in the almighty, resilience and service. Today she is a devout member of the Adventist Church. Now that she is 93 years old, Milagros is sharing her story in person, preserving the lived history, honoring perseverance and reminding us of strength within our community. She is also the founder of the International Helping Hands Foundation, which supports children and families in need in the Dominican Republic.This is more than a book signing. Hoy es una devota miembro de la Iglesia Adventista.Ahora que tiene 93 años, Milagros está compartiendo su historia en persona, preservando la historia vivida, honrando la perseverancia y recordándonos la fuerza dentro de nuestra comunidad. También es la fundadora de la Fundación Internacional de Manos de Ayuda Internacional, que apoya a niños y familias necesitadas en la República Dominicana.Esto es más que una firma de libros.
