📚 Author Event: Corinna Barrett Lain in Conversation with Russell Gold
Join us at Ernest & Hadley Booksellers on Friday, September 19, 2025, from 5:30–7:00 PM for an evening of powerful discussion with Corinna Barrett Lain, one of the nation’s leading authorities on the death penalty.
Lain is the S. D. Roberts & Sandra Moore Professor of Law at the University of Richmond School of Law and the author of Secrets of the Killing State: The Untold Story of Lethal Injection (NYU Press, 2025). Drawing on her experience as a former prosecutor, Army sergeant, and nationally recognized legal scholar, Lain exposes the hidden history and complex realities of America’s use of lethal injection.
She will be joined in conversation by Russell Gold of the University of Alabama School of Law, bringing additional perspective to this timely and urgent topic.
