Book Release Gathering: When You Slow Down

We’re thrilled to host the Book Release Gathering at Kato Sake Brewery in Brooklyn.

The book When You Slow Down is a small journey accomplished with many hands and hearts before it lands in ours. From the very beginning—traveling, designing, editing, and printing—the process has been both humbling and joyful. Each step was shaped by thoughtful details and genuine passion, creating something that feels like more than just a book. Now, holding it in our hands, it truly feels like the work of many hearts moving as one.

• $25 (special event price) — includes a copy of When You Slow Down and the food tasting. (Book price: $28)
• Already purchased the book? Bring your copy, and your food will be reserved for you!
• Books will also be available for purchase during the event with the event price
• If you’d like to join just for the food tasting, you’re warmly welcome. We kindly ask for a small contribution

• Enjoy food tasting inspired by the book, featuring: Appetite sake Kazu drink, Sake lees udon, Small pickled vegetable tsumami with shio-koji — dishes that pair beautifully with Kato sake, Kanpai-
• Participate to the moss garden installation by writing your answer to:
  “When was the last time you slowed down?” Each note will be placed into a glass jar
• Explore behind-the-scenes notes, risograph test prints on display wall and take home free scrap risograph paper from the production
• Conversation with Risograph experts, learn about the process, colors, and inspiration behind the prints.
• We’ll be encouraging everyone to enjoy a sip (or more!) of Kato sake 🍶 it’s pay-as-you-go at the bar!
• Kato Sake Kasu will be available for purchase, explore your next culinary adventure!
• We’ll have a little surprise sweet as our way of saying thank you for joining us
