Join us for an engaging book reading event with the esteemed author Carmen Agra Deedy on Saturday, October 19, at 1 pm at the Alpharetta Public Library. This special occasion is part of a vibrant collaboration with Arts Alpharetta and coincides with the "Illustrators Are Our Neighbors" exhibition at the Alpharetta Arts Center, organized by the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.Carmen Agra Deedy, a highly acclaimed author of sixteen books and host of the four-time Emmy-winning children's show, "Love That Book!", is known for her dynamic storytelling and insightful lectures at prestigious venues such as the Library of Congress and TED conferences. Her celebrated works include "The Rooster Who Would Not Be Quiet!", "Martina the Beautiful Cockroach", and the New York Times Bestseller "14 Cows for America". Deedy's latest publications are "Wombat Said Come In," "Carina Felina," and the upcoming "The Peanut Man." Additionally, this year marks the 30th anniversary of the beloved "Library Dragon".
In celebration of the event, The Book Worm Bookstore is offering attendees the opportunity to pre-purchase some of Carmen’s books for her to sign during her presentation at the library. Admission is free, making this a wonderful opportunity for community members of all ages to gather, celebrate literature, and enjoy an afternoon of storytelling and inspiration.
