Book Reading and Q&A

I’m pleased to extend this invitation to the book-lovers among you to attend this reading. Maybe, like me, you find yourself seeking a book that breaks your heart and then mends it again. A book that makes you laugh, rage, and cry.
A book with one unforgettable character, so uniquely funny and warm and smart and giving, that you carry him with you long after you’ve finished that last page, A book that leaves you better informed, hopeful and inspired. A book with a message that resonates deeply with our times.
I hope my book is that book.
At this event, we’ll read some of Olaf’s story, discovering his talent, his wit and warmth, and we’ll learn from the lessons he imparted to his little sister, both through his words and through his actions.
We’ll discuss the ways that telling stories reflect and influence our humanity, the ways that learning about others open us to new perspectives and fosters understanding.
It’s my hope that you will emerge from this event — a combination of readings, discussion and Q & A — feeling restored and hopeful, ready to meet life’s challenges with a renewed sense of empathy and optimism, carrying with you the spirit of my darling Olaf.
This event is free and open to the public
