Join us for the launch (Seamus Heaney Centre Queens University) of Tony Black’s debut short story collection, Anything Strange or Startling an evening of sharp, compelling prose from one of Ireland’s most distinctive new voices in fiction.

This collection brings together stories that are unsettling, tender, and darkly humorous. With a keen eye for human frailty and resilience, Tony Black introduces us to characters on the margins and moments that surprise, disturb, and linger long after reading.
