About the book
Lead with AI. Stay Human. reveals how modern leaders can turn AI-driven disruption into sustainable competitive advantage without losing what makes organisations uniquely human. Drawing on decades of transformation experience and insights from global business leaders, Peter Whealy shows how leadership must evolve: from control to orchestration, from oversight to trust, and from expertise to judgement amplified by AI.
Grounded in the SPAR framework and the Four Conductor Capabilities, this practical guide helps leaders navigate the widening gap between AI’s accelerating capability and human adaptation. The framework is based on four pillars:
• Strengthen leadership identity when expertise compresses
• Partner with AI as a strategic sparring teammate
• Amplify team capability systematically
• Reshape work and organisation for flow and enterprise value
The book also explores the capabilities now shaping effective leadership in the AI era: judgement under ambiguity, trust stewardship, adaptive learning, and enterprise orchestration - and how these help leaders navigate complexity with clarity and confidence.
Together, this practical, people-first roadmap helps leaders navigate AI acceleration for long-term, sustained success.
