Join us for the launch of Dr Daud Abdullahβs groundbreaking new book, Islam, Race and Rebellion in the Americas: Transatlantic Echoes of the West African Jihads.
This thought-provoking work explores the legacy of West African Muslim resistance movements and their impact across the Atlantic world. The evening will feature a panel discussion with distinguished guest speakers:
- Dr Daud Abdullah β Author and Director of Middle East Monitor
- Lee Jasper β Social justice and race equality advocate; co-founder of Operation Black Vote; former Senior Policy Director for Equalities and Policing in London (2000β2008)
- Shaykh Abdullah Hakim Quick β Itinerant scholar and historian; Senior Lecturer at the Islamic Institute of Toronto, Canada
