Join poet Billy Collins as he reads from his latest work, Dog Show (2025), a book of poems about dogs with illustrations by Pamela Sztybel. Book sales, a reception, and a signing will follow the program.
Billy Collins has published thirteen collections of poetry, including Questions About Angels (1991), The Art of Drowning (1995), Sailing Alone Around the Room: New & Selected Poems (2001), Nine Horses (2002), The Trouble With Poetry and Other Poems (2005), Ballistics (2008), Horoscopes for the Dead (2011), and Picnic, Lightning (1998). His books Aimless Love: New and Selected Poems 2003–2013, The Rain in Portugal (2016), Whale Day and Other Poems (2020), Musical Tables (2022), and Water, Water (2024) were New York Times bestsellers. A collection of his haiku, She Was Just Seventeen, was published by Modern Haiku Press in fall 2006.
He has also published two chapbooks, Video Poems (1980) and Pokerface (1977). In addition, he has edited two anthologies of contemporary poetry: Poetry 180: A Turning Back to Poetry (2003) and 180 More: Extraordinary Poems for Every Day (2005), was the guest editor of The Best American Poetry 2006, and edited Bright Wings: An Illustrated Anthology of Poems about Birds (2010), illustrated by David Allen Sibley.
