Join us on Tuesday, Nov. 19th (7-11pm) at Guarapo Latin Fusion in Williamsburg for a whimsical evening filled with queer tropical poetry, culture, and community. Come meet the author, Samy Nemir Olivares, listen to their poetry, and enjoy a presentation of the book with a Q&A session—plus, get the chance to have a signed copy of their first book!
The event will be MC’d by Latine dragqueen Pixie Aventura and the book presentation Q&A moderated by Kevin Ortega-Rojas (Here's Why), and will showcase the powerful voices and stories within the pages of this groundbreaking bilingual book—one of the country’s first books published in gender-neutral Spanish. The readings will feature David Nazario, Nilton Maa, Librada, Máxima Rodas and others.

Welcome to the exotic mundo of “CuirDoRican: Between Queer and Latine”—the Spanglish debut poetry workbook by genderqueer Puerto Rican-Dominican writer and poet, Samy Nemir Olivares.
