Ruth Franklin presents The Many Lives of Anne Frank
In conversation with Leslie Jamison
Award-winning local author Ruth Franklin (Shirley Jackson: A Rather Haunted Life) returns to Greenlight to present her new biography The Many Lives of Anne Frank. Comprehensively researched, Franklin's book explores the transformation of Anne Frank from ordinary teenager to icon, shedding new light on the young woman whose diary of her years in hiding, now translated into more than seventy languages, is the most widely read work of literature to arise from the Holocaust. Joining Franklin on-stage is New York Times bestselling author Leslie Jamison (Splinters), for an in-depth discussion on the book, followed by an audience Q&A and signing.
