Book Launch: Michael Brownstein presents Somebody Should Do Something: How Anyone Can Help Create Social Change
In conversation with Dr. Kate Marvel
Wine reception to follow
Professor of Philosophy at the CUNY Graduate Center, and Professor and Chair of Philosophy at John Jay College, Michael Brownstein launches Somebody Should Do Something, a fresh and scientific approach to creating transformative social change—and the surprising ways that each of us can help make a real difference. Co-authored with Daniel Kelly and Alex Madva, Somebody Should Do Something shows how we can connect our personal choices to structural change, turning resignation about climate change and racial injustice into actions that transform the world. Senior climate scientist at Project Drawdown, and former NASA research scientist, Dr. Kate Marvel joins Brownstein for a discussion on the power of individual choices, before an audience Q&A and signing.
