A book can give hope. Join our book drive for Read Between the Bars, a Tucson-based nonprofit that provides free books—and hope—to people in prisons across Arizona. Books are an invitation into other worlds, a chance to imagine, discover new ideas, find ourselves and even others like us, to learn, grow, and heal. Not only do books support people throughout their incarceration; they provide new ways of seeing that they can carry with them into our communities when they return. A book can change a life. To donate a book, please follow these guidelines:
-Paperback books ONLY
-No underlining or highlighting in the book
-Books must be in good condition (no tears, stains, or water damage)
-No nudity of any kind, including art and cartoon nudity
You can drop your book donations off in the labeled plastic bins in Aldea’s lobby. The book drive runs through Sunday, February 2.
