Join us for our bonus March book club to discuss Starting Somewhere: Community Organizing for Socially Awkward People Who've Had Enough by Roderick Douglass. Starting Somewhere is a crash course in organizing, educating, and agitating in the 21st Century. We will be discussing the lessons we’ve learned from the book and identify what we actions we can start taking now.The Wichita Oasis Book Club is a place to connect and discuss both fiction and non-fiction books that are inviting, inspiring, or intriguing to a humanist audience. We meet on the last Sunday of the month after Potluck. After discussion, participants are encouraged to add their favorite titles to the book list and vote on the next book.
