For young adults 18–30, every 3rd Thursday, 5:30–7:00pm
Book Club is a relaxed space to connect over stories and ideas – no set reading list, no pressure. The first 30 minutes are dedicated to silent reading (bring your own or look at one from the library), followed by bookish activities. Come solo or bring a friend – we’ll make sure you’re included.

Schedule
📚 5:30pm – Silent reading on the couches and bean bags

It’s all about comfort and connection. Play “This or That – Book Edition” to find your literary kindred spirits, wind down with some cosy colouring in, and create the perfect playlist to match a book you love.
Upcoming Events
• November 20th: Bring a friend & a book to wrap and swap, DIY bookmarks
• December 18th: Decorate a tote bag, design a ‘to be read’ list
• January 15th: Reading bingo, BookTok deep dive, book-themed drinks (non-alcoholic)
• February 19th: Themed discussion: coming of age, The Future of Book Club
Other Details
• Eaton Library will be closed to the public at this time but please come in! We will be sharing the space with the Discover Your Family History event so you will find us by the cosy kids’ area (back right corner near the courtyard).
• The Library has concrete floors that may echo, so feel free to bring headphones or anything else you need.
• We will provide fidget toys and a few snacks but not a full meal.
• This event will be run by the amazing Youth Worker, Emily!

FAQs
1. How many people attend?
Typically our book clubs have anywhere between 5-15 people. There is a mix of all genders.
2. Can I come by myself?
Absolutely! We encourage any and all people to attend – we will make sure you feel welcome!
3. Can I bring a support worker?
For sure. Your support worker does not have to register but they are more than welcome to join in all the activities we have on offer.
4. What food is available?
We provide snacks such as fruit and popcorn. Please include any dietary requirements on your registration if there is anything for us to be aware of.
5. What if I haven’t read the book?
This book club does not require you to read any prescribed books. We will use prompts and activities to talk about all the books, audiobooks and podcasts you already love and consume so we can all make recommendations to each other.
6. Do I need to bring anything?
Some weeks you may need to bring a book to swap or talk about, so please ensure you read the description on each event page.
7. Is there parking?
There is free parking at the venue. There is a big carpark on Council Drive.
8. Is there public transport?
You can take bus route 844 or 845 to Eaton Library. The closest bus stop is Recreation Dr Eaton Fair Shopping Ctr. ETA: 5:12pm.
9. Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
Yes, it is wheelchair accessible.
10. What facilities are available?
There is an all gender accessible toilet, male and female toilets, and a parent room.
11. What if I am outside the 18-30 age range?
Please get in touch with Bec to discuss this.

13. What if I am running late?
