Part coming-of-age-story, part social chronicle, and part study of the myths that define our growing up, Aubrey McKee introduces a breathtakingly original new voice.
It's a perfect novel to settle into as winter sets in, roomy and warm, containing some of the best snowy scenes in recent literary memory. Pugsley's hospitality to his readers is all his own, but you may well be reminded of such luminary antecedents as Charles Dickens, J.D. Salinger, John Irving, and even the Joyce of Dubliners.
