About this Event
The paternal relationship between George Washington and Alexander Hamilton captivated the nation in the musical Hamilton, but the true story of the tumultuous duo goes much further. Washington and Hamilton: The Alliance that Forged America by Stephen K. Knott and Tony Williams shows two opposing forces, one stoic, the other ambitious, represented the complexities of the new America. Together they worked together to achieve an equilibrium that would benefit an equally complex nation, fighting side by side to fend off detractors and lay the groundwork for modern politics. Join us for a discussion, leader TBD, about these equally enigmatic founding fathers!
Reading Into History: Book Chats is a series of informal discussions of historical topics inspired by nonfiction history books, and led by authors, historians, and local history enthusiasts. All are welcome; reading the book is not required, but will enhance the experience!
