About this Event
This inspiring course will give you an introduction to the art of Book Binding, in just one day you will learn all necessary techniques to create a beautiful volume to your own design.
Tutor Carole King will show you how to create a casebound A5 sketch or note book containing around 120 writing or drawing surfaces of good quality, acid free cartridge paper. The functional hardback covers will be decorated with a choice of Lewis & Wood wallpapers before the spine is reinforced and bound with a matching cloth binding. Finishing touches are place markers and endpapers. Each completed book will measure approximately 21 x 16 x 3cm.
Come and join us for a day of creativity in our beautiful workshop space. Attendees will also enjoy a delicious lunch and afternoon tea and cake.
Carole King is a bookbinder, artist and teacher from West Wales, who exhibits throughout the UK at galleries and craft events. She creates hand stitched and bound books, hand printed papers, cards and book binding kits, which are available at Nant Designs.
