Join us on 11/16 @ 5pm for our very first Book Binding & Wine event!!!
With your ticket purchase, you will get a glass of wine and learn how to make books by hand with professional bookbinder and book conservator Jane Knoll!
You will learn traditional bookbinding techniques to make pamphlet stitch notebooks during this 1.5 hour class. After folding, boning, punching, sewing, and scoring, you'll have handmade gifts for friends and family, along with fundamental craft skills to explore the world of bookbinding.
No prior experience required, all tools and materials provided.
Bio:
Jane Knoll trained in traditional hand bookbinding techniques at the North Bennet Street School's full-time bookbinding program in Boston. Jane has worked in conservation labs across the US, including at Dartmouth College, the Boston Athenaeum, and NEDCC, and is currently preparing for a master's degree in book conservation. They teach bookbinding at the San Francisco Center for the Book.
