An evening celebrating our mental health with spoken word, live music performances, DJ and speeches.
About this Event

Emotion Solidarity is a project creating awareness of mental health through clothing and meetups and events. Welcome to our first event!

This will be an evening celebrating our mental health with spoken word, live music performance, a DJ and speeches.

THE PERFORMANCES ANNOUNCEMENT IS COMING SOON!

Tickets

Due to the cost of living crisis and wanting to ensure we are being inclusive to all. The tickets are a donation scheme, but this includes Eventbrite's small processing fee. Because of this, we can only offer one ticket per person. We do ask you to be honest about what you can pay for a ticket, we are a grassroots organisation and don't make a profit and do not get paid for our time. We need some income for this event to cover the cost of the venue hire and we also are paying our performers and people working on the night their fees. We recommend donating £10-20 if you can but we understand that isn't possible for everyone.

With any profit, we will put this back into our project and give a percentage to the charity Black Minds Matter.

On the night, please bring your Eventbrite PDF ticket on your phone (save the planet).

Each ticket puts you in a draw to win a merch bundle.

This is an over 18's event.

The Venue

The Ivy House is London's first-owned community pub!

There is a bar and food that can be delivered to the tables in the venue, there will be access to seats.

There will be the opportunity to buy our merch on the night - cash or card.

Accessibility

The venue doesn't have full disabled access to the toilet due to the door frames being too small for standard wheelchairs, however, the ballroom cubicle is fitted with a handrail and this toilet is gender-neutral.

If you have accessibility needs please get in touch via [email protected].

Travel

We would recommend using public transport where possible.

Overground

The nearest Overground Station is Brockley (1.1 mi). You can then either walk 20 minutes to the venue via St Norbert Road or connect to the 484 bus service which stops a 30-second walk away from the venue. Peckham Rye Station is also close (1.3 mi).

Rail

Thameslink services stop at Nunhead station (0.8 mi) which is a 15-minute walk away via Nunhead Cemetery.

Bus

343 and 484 bus services stop a 30 seconds walk away from the venue.

Parking

Free on-street parking is available across Stuart Road and surrounding streets.

Accommodation

We recommend typing the postcode SE15 3BE on Booking.com where you can use filters to find the best option to suit your needs.

Safety

This is a safe space for all and discrimination in any form will not be tolerated. Any discrimination or harmful behaviour will not be accepted and you will be removed from the event.

'Guardians' will be wearing high-vis armbands. These are people you can come to if you need any help. If you feel anxious or overwhelmed, please come and find us. The venue also has an outdoor space for fresh air. We can come out with you - we are 100% here for you!

Please respect people's pronouns and don't assume people's gender.

Please contact [email protected] for any enquires.

Information is subject to change so please check back closer to the event, but we will send out an email with any more information before the event.

We hope to see you all there - let's celebrate!
