Instructor: Pinky Ormand
Is your yard too large for many trees, or do you just enjoy growing things in miniature? Then this fun, hands on workshop, taught by one of our resident tree-lovers, is the class for you. Come learn the creative ways to own all the trees you love and be able to grow them in small spaces. You will receive a pre-bonsai tree and pot, and then shown ways to create and maintain your own bonsai. Wear appropriate shoes and bring your pruners.
Pinky Ormand is a horticulturist at Harry P. Leu Gardens and maintains the Idea Garden, White Garden, Butterfly Garden and the Camellia Collection. Pinky attended the University of Central Florida where she graduated with a B.A. in Art and has also earned a Landscape & Horticulture Technology degree from Valencia College.
Participants must withdraw from classes at least five days prior to the start of class in order to receive a full refund or credit. If we must cancel a class, we will make every effort to inform you prior to the class time, and you will receive a full refund or credit.
Only those registered for the class will be permitted in the classroom. Childcare services are not provided.
