This year’s Christmas lights get switched on at 4.30pm on Sunday 1st December 2024. Local school pupils are turning on the Christmas Lights, which light up the wintry skies in Bonnyrigg, with a larger and even more impressive Christmas lights display for our communities. The events run from 10am till 5pm
10am - 4.00pm Charity Fair in the Pitcairn Centre, Bonnyrigg Church Hall, on the High Street.
10am - 4.00pm Santa's Grotto and Refreshments in Bonnyrigg Masonic Lodge, on the High Street.
10am - 5pm Slater’s Mini Fun Fair on Campview Road from 10am
2.30pm - 5pm we will have stilt walkers, jugglers, trick cyclists and many cartoon characters in the town centre area.
From 1pm - 5pm Black Diamond Radio Road Show
1.15pm - Bonnyrigg Primary School Carol Singers
1.45pm - Burnbrae Primary School Carol Singers
2.15pm - Lasswade Primary School Carol Singers
2.45pm - Hawthornden Primary School Carol Singers
3.10pm - Kic Dance Flash Dance
3.40pm - St Mary's Primary School Carol Singers
4.30pm - Christmas Lights Switch On
Also running this week is the ‘Spot What’s Odd in the Shop Window’ competition, winners drawn at the switching on of the Christmas Lights.
