Bath Comedy presents A Burns Supper with a Difference
Yes, Bath Comedy's famous Burns Night celebration is back in 2025, bigger, better and even tastier! Celebrate the birthday of the Bard of Ayrshire in traditional style with a twist!
Enjoy a fabulous three course supper featuring Cullen Skink, Haggis* Neeps and Tatties and delicious Cranachan, made under the supervision of head chef - none other than Festival Director Nick Steel - whose Cullen Skink is arguably the best in the world (he argues it is!), using the very best of ingredients from his secret sources in Scotland as well as organically grown veg grown within 2 miles of the venue.
All the trimmings are included: quality toasting whisky, tartan tableware, Irn Bru, Edinburgh rock, plus a pay bar.
Genial Master of Ceremonies: The inimitable Jacky McSween, host of Radio Carmunnock’s 'Good Morning Glasgow - Hi Edinburgh!' (who bears a striking resemblance to actor Pavel Douglas!), and an evening's entertainment which includes the piping in of the haggis, an emotional rendition of Willie's Prayer by Glasgow actor Iain Wotherspoon, and star turns by virtuoso Scottish multi-instrumentalists John Sampson, former official musician to the Poet Laureate, and Nicola Burnett Smith.
Special guests of the evening are stars of 'Whose Line Is It Anyway' Stephen Frost's Improv All Stars with Richard Vranch, Steve Steen and Phil Whelans.
Rumour has it that Lady Margaret's Scottish cousin Anni McMarjoram will be drawing the Grand Whisky Raffle.
Dress code: Will you be wearing your finest Caledonian clobber? We hope so, even if it's just a wee bit of tartan ribbon on your tammy. Tuxedos and kilts are welcome. Ladies, iron that plaid mini and shake out your box pleats! Seek out those scotty dog socks Auntie Morag sent you five Christmases ago but come in what makes you feel comfortable.
This is Burns Night as you've never seen it before (unless you came to the last one!)
Advance ticket purchase essential.
"The best Burns Night I have ever been to" - A Scottish gentleman who knows about these things.
*Vegetarian option available.
