☕️ Join us for the 3rd Series of our Rosewood Coffee Chat: “Bonding Through Communication: The Hanen Approach for Children with Autism” with Dr. Zasmani Shafiee, Child Adolescent Psychiatrist and Ms. Hannah, Speech & Language Therapist.
In this session we’ll explore communication difficulties faced by children with Autism, including children with social communication challenges such as:
☹️ having difficulty understanding nonverbal cues
😐misinterpretation of social cues which could lead to inappropriate or unexpected behaviours
😖 and struggle with group activities where turn-taking, sharing and understanding social norms are involved.
Learn about the Hanen approach and how it’s helped children develop essential communication skills at home and in the classroom/learning groups.
