What to expect?
Named after Rain Phoenix's character Bonanza Jellbean in queer western, 'Even Cowgirls Get The Blues', this night is a freespirited safe space for the LGBTQ+ community to go full cxnty cowboi! Think: sequinned stetson, neckerchief, chaps - or whatever the hell makes you feel sexy!
People start congregating in ranch-friendly attire from 7.30pm to drink and mingle in the Boogaloo saloon, then deliciously camp, western-themed performances giddddy uppp at 9pm. From around 9.30pm you can expect hot dancefloor fillers i.e. High Horse by Kacey Musgraves, Don't Tell Me by Madonna, and BONANZA wouldn't be BONANZA without a bit of Dolly <3
Time to get back in the saddle, you're in for the ride of your life!
Can I come?
So long as you belong to the queer community or you're an adoring ally, you're more than welcome at the rodeo. We've had people from all walks of life, from 18 - 65, in differing levels of fancy dress... So, we hope to see y'all there! YEEEEEHAWWWW!
