Bon visits Lyon ~ Supper Club

Time: Join us from 6pm, food served at 7pm
Location: Bon, 486 Glossop Rd
Our next stop on our Bon visits tour finds us in arguably the most foodie city in France; and most of this is a big thanks to the city's female cooks and a little tire company called Michelin.
Lyon, squarely on the route between Paris and Nice, began to see more footfall due to the release of the Michelin Guide in the early 1900s. The (largely women-run) bouchons that had passed under the radar, began to attract tourists and restaurant critics alike.
In 1933, a former farm girl for l'Ain, a single mother who'd worked her way up the ranks in service and bouchon kitchens, became the first person ever to be awarded six Michelin stars. And while it's Paul Bocuse's name splashed across markets and restaurants all over the city, it was six-starred Eugénie Brazier who trained him.
For this supper club we will be celebrating the Eugénie Brazier bouchon classics, famously refined by legendary Paul Bocuse, Bon styley with some of the best end of summer produce. Supported of course, by the wines of the surrounding regions of the Rhone Valley, Burgundy and Beaujolais.
Come join us as we sing the praise of the Lyonnaise!
