We're back!...and bringing you something a little different than the typical local art shows! Artists often use graffiti as a tool, to express their political opinions, (indigenous) heritage, cultural and religious imagery, and counter-narratives to dominant portrayals of life. Similar to other forms of art, graffiti has become another tool of resistance, reclamation, and empowerment to make the artist own space for expression and popular education. Bombing is a term used when taking over and covering an area with paint throw-ups and tags; while bites (or biting someone's work) are used when pulling inspiration from another artist's style or work. The options are endless! All we ask when submitting is that it fits the theme and the below specs.
Drinks and hor d’oeuvres will be served.
