About this Event
In Its 17th year of providing free Bomba dance classes to the community, classes are taught in a family friendly environment. Participants will learn the fundamentals of bomba dance, its rhythms ,timing, posture and skirt technique. For advance dancers strengthening of their dance and conversation with the drum will be the focus. Classes are taught by renowned Puerto Rican native Bomba dancer: Milteri Tucker Concepcion and members of the Bombazo Dance Co.
Date: 5 consecutive Saturdays starting March 15th-April 12th, 2025
New Location: Inspiration Point located at 710 Tiffany St Bronx, NY 10474
Ages: 13 years and up!
Time:12noon- 1pm
What to wear: Loose comfortable clothing.
Bomba Skirt: available to purchase at www.bombacaribbebbeanskirts.com
Mask Policy: participants discretion. We highly recommend if a participant is sick with fever or other severe symptoms to seek medical attention. They can join us once they are well.
FEE: ONE TIME registration Fee of $10.00 per participant.
