*Pale World (UK/SWE-Drone Doom Experimental lo fi feelings)
Pale World began in 2013 as an outlet for Joe Parkes to step outside his musical comfort zone and try new ideas.
Already establish in the UK noise-rock scene for his involvement with bands like Vile Sect, Opium Lord, Machiavellian Art and Kynodontas, Parkes’ Pale World allows him to explore his love of drone and ambient.
It offers something which is perhaps less immediately abrasive than the hyper-aggression of his other bands. However, deeper listening reveals the music to be just as confrontational and emotionally overwhelming as his other output.
Many things influence Pale World, from the ambient repetitions of Brian Eno, Steve Reich and Philip Glass to the walls of sound created by Swans, My Bloody Valentine and Earth.
But Parkes’ main influence is the world around him. “The music is usually a reaction to how I'm feeling”, says Parkes. “Whether that’s good or bad or I’m experiencing something that doesn’t quite make sense and I'm feeling isolated and anxious – then it becomes an outlet."
Pale World is cathartic and self-reflective music at its most pure.

samantha hernandez is a multidisciplinary experimental artist with primary focuses in sonic and written compositions. experimentation with unconventional sound and texture began in 2006 with rudimentary software, moving towards a more hardware-centric approach in 2008. 2012 saw a hiatus from working with experimental sound with a heavier focus on stream-of-consciousness writing and various subgenres of punk. following a cross-country move in 2017 and dissolving of a subsequent band in 2019 enegry was returned to experimental sound.

Jackson Kovalchik @kihclavok aka JHK is New York’s premier noise sound guy. With his roots in DIY and mastery of professional sound technology, Jackson has made a name for himself over the past several years by delivering immaculate and punishingly loud sound at live events in pro music halls and and underground spaces across the city. Jackson also makes noise as JHK, with recent releases on Oxen and Dead Gods, and plays in a number of gorenoise and grindcore projects. His impressive resume combined with his visceral and energetic live performances have solidified him as one of the USA's most exciting Harsh Noise projects going today.
