The Ellinor String Quartet (ESQ), now in its 4th season, brings professional chamber music to diverse communities throughout the Puget Sound. The quartet is a member of the 4Culture Touring Arts Roster and a sponsored ensemble of the Collaborate Musicians' Project. ESQ performs 4 classical concerts each year, and also regularly appears at music festivals celebrating Latino, and Taiwanese culture. In addition to performing in concert halls, ESQ also brings the string quartet repertoire to intimate neighborhood spaces, from public libraries and community churches to local public schools, where the quartet volunteers coachings and concerts in a dedicated effort to inspire the next generation.

Members of the ESQ have studied with pedagogues at the world’s leading institutions, including the New England Conservatory, the San Francisco Symphony, the Boston Conservatory, the Lucerne Conservatory, the University of Washington, the University of Maryland, the University of New Mexico, and the University of California, Berkeley. The quartet takes its name from Mount Ellinor, a stunning peak in the nearby Olympic Mountains.
