You may have heard of Bollywood, but not like this!
DFD Academy is a dance school in the greater Boston area that specializes in blending eastern and western dance styles to create something stylistically unique and universally relevant. You don't need to be a dancer to appreciate what we do, and you don't need to be South Asian to understand the emotion behind our art.
Come learn something new about South Asian dance and culture and see how we bust a move! More importantly, how we make YOU bust a move :)

Dance Class - 12pm
The class will be taught by DFD's Founder, Devika Dhawan. Trained in Indian Classical, Hip Hop, and Bollywood, Devika uses her diverse experience to create movement that's focused on speaking. Her workshops are all about learning to picking up nuances in rhythm and musicality, stepping out of your comfort zone, and getting animated.
This class is open to all ages and levels. Beginners, get ready to surprise yourself, and dancers, get ready to have the time of your life!
Live Performance - 1pm
DFD is known for not only its artistry, but also its ability to get the crowd hyped up through performances. Our professional team performs at weddings, corporate events, and competitions across the country. This event will be a chance for you to see all the hype, live!
The event will be held at The Lawn @ Assembly Row (across from Caffe Nero, next to the Volo Sports) There's plenty of parking available in the garages at Assembly (free for the first 3 hours)
