Bollywood Dance & Party – A Free Community Class with Rang De Bollywood

At the heart of Rang De Bollywood is a love for movement, tradition, expression, and community. We are committed to preserving, teaching, and celebrating the rich tapestry of Indian dance through Indian Folk, Kathak, and Bollywood styles while creating dance experiences that bring joy, confidence, and connection.
This free Bollywood dance class and community gathering is open to all ages and all levels. Whether you're dancing for the very first time or you’ve been moving to Bollywood beats for years, this class is designed to make you feel empowered, seen, and full of joy. After the class, stay for a relaxed, vibrant after-party to connect with others, sip something fun, and celebrate the magic of dance.

💃 Your Instructors: Manpreet & Amit
Manpreet Komal was born in Punjab, India, where Bhangra and Giddha were part of her upbringing. She began teaching, choreographing, and performing at just four years old. Trained in Kathak under renowned artist Sanjukta Sinha, Manpreet holds a Visharad in Indian Folk Dance from Mumbai’s prestigious Kalanjay Institute. She’s performed at iconic venues including NCPA Mumbai, Grace Cathedral, and the Palace of Fine Arts, and has choreographed for artists like Ranjit Bawa and Sukhbir.
In addition to Indian classical and folk forms, Manpreet has trained in Salsa, Belly Dance, Pole, and Hip Hop performing at the World Salsa Congress and North Pole Dance Competition. Her mission is to bring depth, storytelling, and joy into every class, while helping students experience beauty, health, empowerment, and self-love through dance.
Amit Sharma brings 30+ years of experience as a stage actor, performer, and dancer in Indian theater and cinema. He comes from a family of Indian actors, and has studied percussion under the legendary Zakir Hussain. Amit blends forgotten filmy dance styles (think Govinda & Amitabh Bachchan) with folk and Bollywood, keeping their legacy alive in a way that’s fun, accessible, and full of soul.
Together, Manpreet and Amit create classes that are vibrant, healing, expressive, and full of warmth, music, and laughter. Their classes are spaces where people come to train for weddings, connect with their roots, and just feel good through dance.
