Experience a charming sonic afternoon in the green meadows of Griffith Park’s Crystal Springs. A backdrop of the mountainous Hollywood Hills sets the stage for the enchanting sounds of Bohemian Cristal Instrument by Lenka Morávková paired with a virtuoso harp performance by Ariel Sol.
This event is an installment in the acoustic outdoor series of doctoral lecturer, TEDx speaker, and VIP Gluck fellowship awardee Lenka Morávková with her one of a kind glass instrument, BOHEMIAN CRISTAL INSTRUMENT.
As Lenka travels the world, she sets the instrument up in nature to let it resonate freely in its environment. From the blooming desert of Chino Hills to the Bled Lake in Slovenia, the freezing Alpine River, to a sea of red poppies in the Czech Republic, this viral performance has garnered millions of views worldwide and is now coming to Los Angeles.
Lenka is excited to partner with harpist Ariel Sol who is an LA-based harpist, composer, and producer with a unique, genre-defying approach to contemporary music. Together, Lenka and Ari will present a lecture and workshop based on her TEDx talk that combines the world of experimental and classical instruments, play an acoustic set together, and even share the experience of playing the instruments yourself! Join us for an afternoon of music , fun, and free Oobli beverages for kids, adults, and attendees of any age.
With Bohemian Cristal Instrument, Lenka is releasing their single NEW NATURE from the upcoming album to be celebrated at a release event at Glendale Presbyterian Church on June 1st. To support this, she will be filming a teaser for an upcoming music video for the single. This outdoor acoustic event is helping cover costs for these efforts.

BOHEMIAN CRISTAL INSTRUMENT (BCI) is a project centered around the one of a kind instrument made of Czech glass. Lenka hails from Northern Czech Republic, a region famous for its glass industry. Following Lenka’s original design, the glass sound sculpture is a unique version of the legendary Cristal Baschet instrument.
BCI's achievements include a viral video from the California desert, a TEDx Talk in the USA, live shows at Eurosonic Noordeslag, Colours of Ostrava, Summit LA, All About Music in Mumbai, collaboration with Hollywood film composers (Bear McCreary, Stephanie Economou, Jeff Rona) and show at one of the biggest festivals in the US, Lightning In A Bottle, earlier this year.
