About this Event
Welcome to Body Writes with Ceri Baker
Transformation Series
What is Body Writes?
Body Writes is a new creative practice/form evolved and held by Ceri Baker, as part of her Bard of Exeter manifesto 2024 to 2025 commitment.
Ceri combines aspects of yoga movement, mindfulness and breathwork with music, creative writing prompts and using poetry as a tool for transformation, to support people of all experiences to deepen their creative connection to themselves and to build a creative community around that.
Following two very successful and rewarding pilot sessions at Exeter library, Ceri is returning to hold a series of 4 x 2 hour sessions this Autumn on the theme of Transformation. The yoga and writing will be fairly accessible but if you have specific injuries or physical/learning access needs, letting Ceri know beforehand would be great as she can make sure to accommodate and plan accordingly.
It is possible to book individual sessions although booking the whole series would offer continuity and deepen the sense of community during this shared developmental experience.
Whilst therapeutic in nature the sessions are not therapy, so do be mindful to look after yourself and others during sharing moments and Ceri will hold sessions with this in mind.
Ceri can/will provide: Yoga mats, eye bags, water, herbal tea, chocolate, spare pens, paper if needed.
Please bring: your notebook, pen, and for your comfort if required a cushion and blanket.
Importantly please gift yourself space and time to drop in, meet yourself and others and be open to whatever unfolds.
It's just kind of like the right time isn't it?
