About this Event
“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life, and you will call it fate.” - Carl Jung
Your body is the portal to your unconscious. This practice invites you to inhabit it creatively, translating feelings and unconscious information into tangible material to explore and gain new insights.
The intention is to give your body a space to express who it is now and for you to find support in it. Through movement and imagination, you will create new connections around personal themes, cultivating inner spaciousness and resources to approach your life with a greater sense of clarity and alignment.
"Every experience I’ve had in my life is a resource in my body.” - Anna Halprin
This practice is designed to help soften and dissolve holding patterns of body and mind, guiding you into a deeper connection with your authentic self.
During our time together, you will be guided through light, structured somatic movement and intuitive, expressive dance, transitioning from an automatic mode to an embodied, intentional, and flexible state of being.
We will close our gathering discussing the common themes that emerge, tapping into the power of our collective shared experience.
*No experience with somatic movement/dance or expressive arts needed.
We welcome all who identify as women.
**I offer a special discount to women of color. Email me to receive the link: [email protected]
This offering is grounded on the Tamalpa Life/Art Process®: a pioneer science-based approach to embodied psychology, trauma healing, creativity, and social justice; connecting us to the wisdom of our bodies and the Earth through Somatic Movement/Dance and Expressive Arts.
