The next Les Mills releases will shortly hit our studios! And this time round, it’s a very special one as BODYCOMBAT turns 100! That’s 25 years of your favourite non-contact, high energy martial arts inspired workout set to a fabulous sound track. Some of you may remember us taking over the Tennis Courts back in 2018 to celebrate BODYATTACK 100 and last June we did the same for BODYBALANCE 100. One of our aims has always been to get at least 100 members taking part in what is always a hugely euphoric experience. Keeping up with this tradition, we will be taking over the Outdoor Courts (under the bubble!) on Saturday 5th October when our amazing Instructor Team will deliver the 100th release of the program to, hopefully, at least 100 of you!
Class Details
The class will run from 1 – 2pm on our Outdoor Tennis Courts (which by then will be covered by the dome) and will be team taught by our awesome Combat team.
Please bring your own water bottle and whilst most of the class is non-mat based, you may wish to bring your own mat for the stretches at the end.
We would love as many of you as possible to come and celebrate this release with us – the 60-minute format will have options to suit everyone. Whether you’re already an enthusiast or are new to the class you do not want to miss it!
How to Book
Bookings can be made via Reception, on the sign-up sheets in the Studios, or via the App (6 days before the class). To avoid using one of your 5 ‘advance bookings’ it is advisable to book at Reception or via the sign-up sheets.
The class will also be suitable for 14- and 15-year olds; parents/guardians do not have to do the class with them but must remain in the Club as usual.
Members are also welcome to bring a guest with them, at a cost of £10. Please register the guest and pay in advance at Reception. Likewise, those whose memberships don’t cover that timeframe can also pay the guest fee to attend (or alternatively upgrade their membership).
So, what is BODYCOMBAT and what will it do for me?
For those that aren’t familiar with it, BODYCOMBAT is a high-energy, martial arts-inspired workout that is totally non-contact. Punch and kick your way to fitness and feel empowered by learning moves from Karate, Taekwondo, Boxing, Muay Thai, Capoeira and Kung Fu.
It’s a great way to release stress alongside a fantastic soundtrack, and it is one of the six Les Mills programs we run here at Club Towers. It is suitable for all levels; you can be guaranteed to have a blast and feel like a champ!
Les Mills New Release Weekend
Alongside BODYCOMBAT 100 we will also be launching our other Les Mills Program new releases that morning and those classes will be bookable on the App 6 days in advance as normal. In addition, on the same day we have our Charity Coffee and Cake morning, a perfect excuse to eat cake and burn it off later! This is the first of our charity events for newly chosen Bedford Blues Foundation and Primrose Car Service. As well as lots of sweet treats on sale, the Club will donate 50% of all hot drink sales during the morning.
