💃This mostly off-the-pole course is designed to enhance your understanding of hamstring movement, pre-habilitation and mobility exercises for the hamstrings and hips, and to assess your own hamstring mobility and strength in the context of pole dancing.During this class, we will:
🦵🏼Learn the difference between eccentric and concentric hamstring engagement, and why it's important to consider these different contraction types when training hamstring-focused moves.
🦵🏼Understand how leg flexion and extension are supported by the hamstrings and hips in common pole moves
🦵🏼Discuss how hamstring strength and mobility affect performance and injury risk in common pole positions
🦵🏼Assess your own hamstring and related hip strength and mobility
🦵🏼Learn a few exercises to address common hamstring capacity limitations in pole dancers
Note: This is not a rehab course. We will NOT be covering how to recover from hamstring injuries.
