About the CourseInspired by the Buddhist text The Way of the Bodhisattva, this Butoh dance course explores the fundamentals of this unique art form as a path to embodying Buddhist philosophy through movement, gesture, and choreographic creation.
Over eight months, participants will embark on a structured journey:
10 classes dedicated to the creation of a full-length performance, integrating solo and group compositions.
The course culminates in a professional dance-theater production, fully staged with technical support in Vienna. Open to all levels, including beginners, this is a unique opportunity to experience Butoh as both an artistic and spiritual practice.
Course Structure
🔹 7 creation classes focused on developing solo and collective performances.
🔹 3-day final immersion for rehearsals and production of the final performance.
🔹 Public presentation at Das Lot , offering real stage experience.
