Studies suggest that planning and knowledge of over-water pre- and In-flight processes and procedures can reduce the frequency of water landings (ditching) and the severity of consequences should a pilot be forced to ditch. Basic survival knowledge and equipment can greatly improve chances of surviving after a ditching. Our speaker, Luca Bencini-Tibo, will discuss how you can improve your odds and manage the risk when you make that water crossing.Luca F Bencini-Tibo holds ATP (SEL, MEL) and CFI Certificates, is an airplane owner, Civil Air Patrol Member, and a recipient of the Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award.
Registration is NOT required. The Boca Raton Pilots Association meeting is free to all. We will start at 6:30PM with pizza, drinks and socializing, followed by speaker at 7:00 PM. There will be time for questions and answers after our speaker. We meet monthly, the first Wednesday of every month except July, August and December. In December instead of our monthly meeting we hold a holiday event.
