Vulnerable and fierce, hilarious and heartbreaking, Queerstories celebrates the culture and creativity of the LGBTQI+ community one true story at a time. An institution around the country, Queerstories has played to crowds big and small, from Mudgee to Murwillumbah, Albury to Adelaide, Brisbane and beyond.
The award-winning Queerstories podcast features an archive of nearly 400 queer tales, including unexpected stories of pride, prejudice, resilience and resistance.

Michelle Brasier is an actor, singer, comedian and screenwriter who has won several awards for her work including a Sydney Comedy Festival Directors Choice, as well as a coveted nomination for Most Outstanding Show at Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Her memoir My Brothers Ashes Are in A Sandwich Bag will be published in 2024.
Daniel Browning is a Bundjalung and Kullilli journalist, radio broadcaster, documentary maker, sound artist and writer. His first book, Close to the Subject: Selected Works, has won numerous prizes.
Maeve Marsden is the Creative Director of Varuna the National Writers’ House and the Blue Mountains Writers’ Festival. Maeve has presented work at major festivals and venues across Australia and the UK, including of course her celebrated Queerstories events.
Adrian Mouhajer is a Lebanese writer and editor who has performed their poetry for Bankstown Poetry Slam, Queerstories, Eulogy for the Dyke Bar and Cement Fondu.
Charlie Villas is one of Australia's favourite party starters and highly sought-after DJs. Hailing from the Philippines and now based in the picturesque Blue Mountains on Darug and Gundungurra land, she is celebrated as a vibe maker and dance floor legend.
