Two-stepping workshops and an evenin dance with Melissa & The Moth Men
Sunday, March 8 @ Mobtown Ballroom

Make a whole day of it! Join us at Mobtown Ballroom for an afternoon of hands-on dance learning followed by an exhuberant evening honky tonk with Melissa & The Moth Men, known for their high engery performances of vintage country favs!

Afternoon Dance Workshops (1–5pm)
Start the day by building skills, confidence, and connection on the dance floor:

  • 1:00–3:00pm — Rhythm, Groove & Connection: Two-Step with Becky Hill
    An all-levels workshop focused on timing, musicality, and feeling comfortable dancing with any partner. Becky meets dancers where they are, offering accessible foundations and deeper challenges as needed.
  • 3:00–5:00pm — Two-Step Variations & Dance Floor Play with Diana Nevills
    An advanced workshop exploring turns, twists, and playful variations for dancers ready to expand their two-step vocabulary. Diana’s teaching is rooted in community, cultural tradition, and joyful social dancing. Fun fact: Diana runs a podcast called Chuch of Honky Tonk. Check it out!

Evening Honky Tonk Dance (7–10pm | Doors at 6:30pm)
Put it all into practice with Melissa & The Moth Men, led by singer Melissa Wright and a rotating cast of top-tier fiddlers, steel players, guitarists, and rhythm section heavyweights. Inspired by legends like Patsy Cline, Hank Williams, George Jones, and Loretta Lynn, the band delivers classic country built for the dance floor.

A Berklee College of Music graduate, Wright has performed at NPR’s Mountain Stage and Nashville’s Bluebird Cafe, bringing warmth, power, and deep respect for tradition to every performance. Expect high-energy honky tonk, timeless songs, and a packed, joyful dance floor.

Come for the workshops, come for the band — or come for it all. No partner required, all are welcome, and joy is guaranteed. 🤠💃

Led by singer Melissa Wright, the Moth Men are a rotating cast of the region’s finest fiddlers, guitar slingers, pedal steel players, and rhythm section heavyweights. Drawing deep inspiration from legends like Patsy Cline, Hank Williams, George Jones, and Loretta Lynn, the band delivers timeless country music with heart, drive, and serious dance-floor power.
