Welcome to the moor GrassROUTES Fundraiser!

B'moor GrassROUTES is a fun and engaging fundraiser that brings together people of all ages and fitness levels to support three Brightmoor grassroots organizations: Brightmoor Alliance, Brightmoor Artisans Collective, and the Cross Pollination Corridor Project. Participants will gather at the entryway to the Cross Pollination Corridor Project and embark on a scenic walk route through the Corridor or settle in at the Meditation Station for a sound bath marathon. Whether you prefer a leisurely stroll or a brisk walk, this event is perfect for everyone to get some exercise, enjoy a moment of peace, and contribute to a charitable cause that supports service to Brightmoor.

During B’moor GrassROUTES, participants can look forward to a festive atmosphere with calming music, refreshments, and opportunities to socialize with fellow walkers. Along the route, volunteers will cheer you on and provide support to ensure a memorable experience for all. Additionally, participants are encouraged to raise funds through sponsorships from friends, family, and colleagues, with all proceeds going equally towards the event host organizations. Whether you start moving or sit still, at B’moor GrassROUTES everyone can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.All donations are greatly appreciated, and members participation is most important!

How It Works:

The walk-athon portion of the event gives participants the opportunity to walk laps through the Cross Pollination Corridor to raise money that will help us reach our fundraising goal. Donors can sponsor walkers by pledging a certain amount of money for each lap completed or by making a flat donation. Participants typically seek out sponsors among friends, family, and colleagues to support their efforts. On the day of the event, walkers will gather at the Cross Pollination Corridor Project and begin the walk. The walk-athon route will be marked along the corridor and volunteers will be on hand to help participants stay on track.

Nestled in a small grove along the Corridor right across from the Pollinator Garden, participants will have an alternate option for raising funds – the Mediation Station! This area will be set up with floor seating and a singing bowl performer who will guide participants through 30 minute increments of a meditation sound bath. For every 30 minutes of meditation completed, participants will have completed the equivalent of one lap around the Corridor.

At the end of the event, participants can celebrate their accomplishment with refreshments and a ceremony to award our top fundraisers for the day. The funds raised through the event from sponsors are totaled and donated to the designated cause or charity.
